Handprinting fun

Handprinting is one of the easiest ways of creating lovely pictures with little ones.
Make sure you cover them in an old shirt or apron, and cover the florr to protect from spillages!
Poster paints are available from many shops icluding as Woolworths and ELC.
Baker Ross do a great selection that are non toxic and stain free, meaning your little monster wont look like one after the activity!
Getting started
Using a brush, paint the hand all over, making sure there are no gaps.
If you want to be super creative, do stripes for a bee handprint, or mix colours for a mad flower design. Its easy to do if you have a steady hand, not so easy if both yours and your childs is fighting a painting battle!

Place the painted hand on the paper and press down to create a print.
Older children will be able to do this bit themselves.

Once you have got the hang of it you can use handprints & footprints to create lots of different pictures.
At Chritmas use two handprints to create Angels wings, or a brown uPside-down handprint can be turned into a reindeer!
Stripey footprints make fab bumble bees and two multi-coloured handprints make pretty butterflies!
